Detectives
 

The Criminal Investigations Section is responsible for conducting a variety of investigations regarding criminal offenses reported to the agency. All felony offenses, missing persons and selected misdemeanor offenses reported to the Union County Sheriff's Office are assigned to an investigator if these cases are not immediately resolved otherwise. Most detectives within this section work cases that are assigned by geographic zone. The Investigations Section does have detectives that are specifically reserved to work crimes against juveniles and electronic & white collar crimes. Supervisors for this unit consist of one Lieutenant and two Sergeants. This unit is currently comprised of 12 investigators, one administrative assistant, and one part time clerical assistant.
